Tourism Attractions
The capital of Cuba, Havana (La Habana), is the largest city in the Caribbean. The city is filled with glorious Spanish colonial architecture. Santiago de Cuba is the second biggest city in Cuba and has a noticeable Caribbean flavor due to the influence of the French planters and Haitians who settled there in the last century. Baracoa is oldest European settlement. The city used to be an important Spanish outpost. The three Spanish forts are the remainings of this function. The city Trinidad contains remainings of a very wealthy time, like baroque church towers and Carrara marble floors. Just outside the city some of Cuba's finest beaches can be found. Other interesting activities in Cuba include hiking, diving in underground rivers and scuba diving. |
