The Dominican Republic has incredible beaches! Tourism Attractions
Discover, just like Columbus did, the beauty of the Dominican Republic. Enjoy the clear blue sea and relax on the fabulous beach of Punta Cana.
One of the main activities is diving, as the Dominican Republic has numerous beautiful riffs, a lot of fish and the temperature of the seawater is pleasant. Want some adventure? Then take a dive in the underground lake near Cabrera, or go on a boat trip to the fascinating caves of Gri Gri near Sosúa.
Santo Domingo is the capital of the Dominican Republic. In this beautiful colonial city you can take a walk on the first street ever built in America, Calle las Damas. Santo Domingo once was a place of intense political intrigue and romance. Today Santo Domingo is a thriving port city, equipped with discotheques, casinos, shops and the Cultural Plaza which houses the Gallery of Modern Art and the National Theatre.
The city of Puerto Plata owes its name to the shimmering silver colour of its coast at sunset, and became a popular seaside resort. Here you can see the colonial architecture, its nice harbor, and enjoy the fabulous sunset from the top of Mount Isabel de Torres.
The Dominican Republic also offers excellent opportunities for golfing, as some world famous designers designed golf courses who are among the best of the Caribean. Or let the locals take you on a hike during the yearly pilgrimage to the highest mountain of the Dominican Republic: Pico Duarte.
The opportunities to enjoy yourself during your holiday in the Dominican Republic are endless... |
