Tourism Attractions
The capital city of India is Delhi. Although it may not be your first impression, Delhi is a very interesting city to visit as its history is fascinating. The city of Goa, a former hippy destination, nowadays is one of the most famous tourist cities. The city of Agra is known for the Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal is described as the most extravagant monument ever built for love, it has become the tourist emblem of India. Calcutta promotes itself as the 'City of Joy'. Some space is provided by the Maidan, an enormous open expanse used by Calcuttans for recreation, cricket and football matches and yoga sessions. One of the highlights of the city Darjeeling is the Passenger Ropeway, the first chairlift to be constructed in India. The Himalayan are magnificent mountains in the north of India. The province Kerala has numerous interesting attractions such as the beach Kappakkadavu. This beach is known as one of the most charming beaches of Kerala. Another attraction is the Padmanabhapuram Palace, which is a magnificent wooden palace of the 16th century. Athirappalli and Vazhachal are two scenic and popular waterfalls on the edge of the Sholayar forest in the province Kerala. Interesting activities in India include trekking, skiing, swimming, diving, snorkeling, camel treks and rafting. |
